Popcorn Horror offers a box full of bite sized horror thrills including the best short horror films from around the world.
We have created a unique cinema experience on the go. On top of three short horror films automatically given when you download the app, a new horror film will be sent to your phone every week. We search across the world to make sure we get the most spine tingling, frightening, exhilarating and explosive films. Moreover, we look to reward and promote our filmmakers and are proud to invest in grassroots horror filmmaking.
The app encapsulates the cinema experience; the home screen like the front of a cinema has the latest poster for the latest film and a placard with movie names and times of screenings. This large colourful interface will dynamically change as we add more and more films. Moreover, our users will be able to select when they want to receive the latest film, the time appearing on the placard, fitting the Popcorn Horror experience into their lives.
In the “film bites” menu you can feast yourself on short films to watch at your leisure. The latest films appearing at the top next to the “coming soon” film that gives you a tantalising look at what will appear the following week. But, the fun does not stop there you can read user reviews and ratings, learn more about the film and filmmaker and share the film with your friends.
Popcorn Horror is more than just short films; in our quotes menu users can view, share and send in their favourite horror quotes or take inspiration from the horror quote of the week, in the words of Norman Bates, “we all go a little mad sometimes”. We have tried to make an app that lives and breaths like a monster, ever changing and growing this includes our newsfeed that not only give the latest horror news but we also encourage our users to send in their horror events or stories which we will publish for them. If that was not enough then we also offer dynamic and engaging horror posters or you can visit our merchandise store.
As horror fans and filmmakers we wanted to recreate every week the experience of going to the cinema to watch a horror film in the palm of your hand, the latest film, what is coming soon, news, reviews and posters in a colourful, interactive interface that never stays the same and is always inviting you back for more. With Popcorn Horror we have truly tried to create the ultimate horror fix on the move.
